Group Evaluation

 

Working as a team or in a group is a part of learning and exchanging our skills. In this term we were given a group task with a specific topic.

We as a team decided to choose the topic Design and Society by the RSA. 

 

At first we choose our team members and give a role to every person. Although we had different roles, we still help each other in providing ideas at first. After discusing our ideas we agreed on our part and divided the script into four part, each of us get one. 

I got the front part which is the shortest part other of them get longer part. Although it is shorter than other members part I pay full attention and effort in it. I wish i could have longer part so i can show more in my work. 

 

My main role in the team is Editor. I will arrange and edit everyone one part into the final outcome. In that way i work closely with them to make sure they give me their part and lastly output it into one final animation. I need to be aware of the audio and the choice of background music as it should not be copyrighted. Other than that i'm in charge of trouble shooting of any problem they met when using the sofwares. I am not good but i have previous knowlegde in all the softwares and it will be usefull for us to help each other out. From that we can learn new things.

 

 

There are a lot of spaces we could improve, first of all the animatic which I found that we are lack in technical issues and we have to work along the audio which gave us a limited imagination we could have. Next, time management, as a group we work really well in our timeline of work progression. We updating each other to make sure we are on track. Although i had to be back to Malaysia because of family issues I am able to catch up with the work load and complete it in time for both submission for RSA and the course.

 

The problem we met in the end was the final part is uncomplete. We were not aware until the last very minute as one of our member did not turn up and not aware of the deadline submission. To be honest, I am quite disappointed but at the same time I could say we did not communicate well. If i were given chance to work together again in the future I will be more cautious in checking everyone pregression. 

 

Although there are problems in the group, I feel happy to work together with them. We help each other out and give comments on what we did. In conclusion, in a team we really need to work closely together so that problems like this will not happen again in the futures.
